This live, virtual interactive session will be delivered in an introductory format. While some prior experience is helpful, it is not required to participate.

Networking Fundamentals: Explore how players interact over the internet through sockets, events, and real-time communication.
Collaborative Development: Work with your peers to develop and test game features, simulating the collaborative workflow of real-world game studios.

No prior experience with Linux, game development, or backend coding? No problem! This course is beginner-friendly while offering advanced challenges for students who want to push themselves further.

Your instructor, Stephen Souders—also known as Mr. MYTEK—has been immersed in the field of information technology since the age of 15 when he began working for an ISP while still in high school. Stephen holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from Florida Gulf Coast University and a master's degree in Computer Information Systems from Kennesaw State University. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience in web development, managed an Information Technology department, and taught classes at Georgia Highlands College for more than six years. In 2015, Stephen and his wife, Jacky, founded MYTEK LAB, where they have been providing technology education to students of all ages ever since.
